The Beauty Of Truth - by bruce potter

IS IT WORTH de WAIT

August 21st 2006 02:09
Just recently i was made to rethink about my current love life. FYI, currently, there is no boyfriend but a special person whom i'm eyeing at for the past 1yr pluz. He is a really cool guy who has almost everything that i want. Except, he hasn't really come up to me and chat. So yeah, i know, some people are just meant to be admired from afar. He is the guy.

Anyway, it took a fight wif a girl friend of mine to make me question:

IS IT WORTH WAITING FOR SOMEONE THAT LONG?

Nowadays, so many people are entering into casual relationships which doesn't seem to last long. Dun get me wrong, i'm not saying that casual relationships will neva work out. But its juz that people are no more believing that there is a special person worth waiting for. Especially when everything and everyone ard seem to be pressurizing you to get attached with any tom, dick or harry across the road.

Someone commented, "i can't believe you've not been with someone in your life? Are you afraid of committment or are you gay?" HELLO!! That's not the point dude. The point is, isn't it worth waiting for the right one to come your way then to try n get into a relationship which has a 25% chance of working out?

I guess my point is, i think its legit to wait for a seemingly potential guy that could make a relationship work with you even though it may seem a while. Of coz, i'm not saying that u wait forever for him. That goes to show w/o saying that if you like someone who is already attached or married, MOVE ON with life. GET OVER IT!! But yeah, if he is still single and available, i reackon is all right to wait for a while. BE PROACTIVE...and see how things go. If it's meant to happen, it will happen.

Peace out,
Cher

Guys are very bad at picking up hints.

I’m not quite sure of this ‘wait & watch’ process… I’d rather be sure or move on. But what I find most difficult is to let them (guys specially) into my trust circle. I see most as wishy-washy kind … without whom I’m better off. I find a man who could hold an interesting conversation topped with humour most adorable!!! Still better if he got a dimpled cheek =)
